The Castle Cary Visitor.

The Castle Cary Visitor of which William Macmillan (father of Douglas Macmillan the founder of Macmillan Cancer Support) was the editor, writer and publisher, ran to ten volumes spanning the years 1896 to 1915.

It is full of interest and was looked for eagerly by many hundreds of readers of that time every month. Here are recorded the doings of the churches, societies, businesses, births, marriages and deaths of its individual personalities. The wonder is in regard to him how one head could contain so much.
